City of Barrie Ends Agreement With The Georgian Theatre

Dear Theatre Friends,

I wanted to share something near and dear to my heart with you all.

It was recently announced that the City Of Barrie has decided to end its lease and operating agreement with Georgian College, leaving the Georgian Theatre dark.

There’s a lot of information I’m still gathering, and a lot of emotions to process, but I will share more about this when I can.

Today, I am sharing the link to a petition encouraging the city to reverse the decision, which you can find below.

The Georgian Theatre is a staple in the Barrie Arts Community, providing opportunities for arts workers and theatre artists alike. I saw my first shows, had dance recitals, and experienced so much more in this theatre, like so many other artists.
